The Black Bull Pub

THE FIRST thing you notice when you now walk into the Black Bull is just how spacious and welcoming it is. The second thing that overwhelms the senses is the delectable smell of gastro-pub home cooking.

The new owners of the Black Bull pub in Welton have really made their mark - Natalie and Steve ensure the surroundings are family friendly, inviting, and above all the staff are always up for a chat while you sup your pint. Finding Black Sheep on tap (as a guest ale, let’s hope it stays!) is always a big plus in my book ;-)

While we haven’t yet tried the food (unfortunately we’d already eaten), we were impressed by the day and evening menu selections, though if you happen to be vegetarian don’t expect a great deal of choice.

Main meals are served daily between 6 and 9 in the evening and 12 and 3 on Sunday, with prices in the range of £8.45 to £14.25.

In addition to the usual pub goings-on, the Black Bull is host to weekly quizzes on Tuesdays, live music from up and coming bands, and various other entertainment.

It’s refreshing to see the pub is in good hands, and back at the centre of the local events diary - see you there!

Good review, but you really should try the food, it’s very good and served quickly

We had Sunday lunch recently and it was excellent and well priced! No more washing up for me in the future. Great to have our pub back.
