		<description><![CDATA[Police say they are declaring war in motorists who speed.
New figures show that the number of drivers caught and prosecuted for breaking the speed limit rose by 68 per cent last year.
And officers have vowed to catch even more this year.

		<title>Funding cut may hit sixth-forms hard</title>
		<description><![CDATA[Schools and colleges in Lincolnshire could be forced to cut courses and slash the number of pupils they take on after funding cuts were announced.
Funding levels published by the Government will see a sixth-form of 250 students lose around £55,000 in the next school year.
The shortfall has come after the Learning and Skills Council under-estimated pupil numbers.
Headteachers across Lincolnshire have been told that budgets for next year will be far lower than allocations announced by the Learning and Skills Council at the beginning of March.

		<description><![CDATA[VULNERABLE and older people are to benefit from the creation of a new &#8220;no cold calling zone&#8221;.
The Trading Standards- funded scheme at Stonecliffe Park in Welton, near Lincoln, will result in signs being put up warning potential callers that local residents are not interested in buying goods or services on their own doorstep.
Householders will also be provided with information packs on home security and dealing with unwanted visitors.
